Additional information

Acute effects of dimethylammonium 2,4 -dichlorophenoxyacetate could be observed on earthworms (LC50 = 350 mg a.i./kg dw) and honey bees after oral exposure (LD50 = 6.4 µg a.i. per animal). No significant adverse effects were reported neither in arthropods survival and reproduction nor in soil microflora activity (nitrogen turnover or respiration, up to a concentration of 1.5 mg test substance/kg dw soil (0.93 mg a.i./kg dw soil)). Delay in seedling emergence and stunted growth were observed on terrestrial plants after 14 days exposure (ELR50s 0.18 - >1.24 mg a.i./kg dw soil).
