Description of key information

The experimental values give a range of BCF for two different tested concentrations of 1,4-diethylbenzene.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
629 dimensionless

Additional information

The value of BCF is relevant to assess if the substance is Bioaccumulative or very Bioaccumulative according to the criteria given in Annex XIII of REACH Regulation.

The range of values obtained allow to stablish that 1,4 -diethylbenzene has a low potential for bioccumulation and doesn't meet the criteria to classify it as Bioaccumulative or very Bioaccumulative.
