Description of key information

A melting/boiling point study was carried out on potassium allophonate according to the capillary method (SOP 013.03 Issue No, 1 issued Nov 2009). The potassium allophonate sample sublimated at 298.3 deg C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
298.3 °C

Additional information

Endpoint specific guidance R.7.1.2.3 notes that some substances will sublime before the melting point is reached and that in such cases the sublimation temperature should be reported.
