Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The preliminary test showed that the degree of hydrolysis was higher than 50% within 2.4 hrs so no additional tests at pH 7 and pH 9 was conducted. Additional testing at pH 4 was not required because the degree of hydrolysis was less than 10% within 5 days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
2.4 h
at the temperature of:
50 °C

Additional information

Hydrolysis as a function of pH of the test substance was determined according to EEC Directive 92/69 EEC C7 guideline.

As a result from the preliminary tests additional testing at pH 7 and pH 9 was not required because the degree of hydrolysis was higher than 50% within 2.4 hours. Additional testing at pH 4 was not required because the degree of hydrolysis was lower than 10% within 5 days (Dr U Schneider, 2002).
