Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The dissociation coefficient of pKa = 11.6

Key value for chemical safety assessment

pKa at 20°C:
11.6

Additional information

The dissociation constant of the test substance was determined according to OECD guideline 112. However it must be noted that the guideline demands pure or commercial grade substances for carrying out the described method but in the case of this test substance, the purity is 60.7% therefore the effects of the impurities could not be calculated. Due to the fact that the test item hydrolysis is in the basic range it has to be stated that the measured dissociation constant could be influenced by this effect. The final result is that the dissociation coefficient of pKa = 11.6 (Dr A Schminke, 2004).
