Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the glass transition temperature of the test substance was -10.7°C (DSC method).
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the melting point/glass transition temperature of the test substance according to a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method. Duplicates of the test substance were encapsulated in Al pans with pierced lids. Instruments were calibrated with an indium and zinc standard following internal procedure. Experimental melting points (Tm) corresponded to literature values; 156.6°C/419°C (Tm indium/Tm zinc). Samples were submitted to a temperature program going from -60°C to 500°C with a speed of 10K/min. Under the study conditions, the freezing point of the test substance was -10.7°C (Sohar, 2016).

Description of key information

The melting point/glass transition temperature was determined according to a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method (Sohar, 2016)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-10.7 °C
