Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Key parameters for classification

Degradation

Biodegradation: not readily biodegradable (0% degradation after 28 d, CO2 evolution, OECD 301 B)

Aquatic acute toxicity

For aquatic invertebrates: 48 h, EC50 (Daphnia magna, OECD 202): 0.09 mg/L (geom. mean measured concentration)

For algae/aquatic plant: 72 h, ErC50 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, OECD 201): 0.021 mg/L (geom. mean measured concentration)

Chronic aquatic toxicity

For algae/aquatic plant: 72 h, ErC10 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, OECD 201): 0.016 mg/L (geom. mean measured concentration)

Based on the data above the substance has to be classified as Aquatic Acute 1 (H400) since the acute effect concentration for daphnia and algae is < 1 mg/L. Concerning chronic toxicity, data from the algae study are available. The ErC10 was 0.016 mg/L. In combination with the results from biodegradation the substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 1 (H410) according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (consolidated version) and all following amendments (ATPs).

M-Factor acute: 10

M-factor chronic: 1
