Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Significant bioconcentration potential is not estimated and bioaccumulation in the aquatic food chain is not expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
89.1 dimensionless

Additional information

With the CATALOGIC (v5.11.6TB) BCF-baseline model (v.02.05), the BCF was initially estimated to be 390 based on the measured log Pow of 3.46. Metabolism was predicted to be an important mitigating factor by reducing the BCF to 178. When considering the molecule size and the water solubility as mitigating factors, the estimated BCF decreased to 120 (BASF, 2013).

With the BCFBAF v3.01 model as integrated in EPISuite v4.11, the BCF was 89.1 as calculated on the basis of the log Pow of 3.46 (average of three experimental values).

Considering also that the substance is readily biodegradable, a significant bioconcentration potential is not given and bioaccumulation in the aquatic food chain is not expected.
