Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Study reports have been available for the ready biodegradability test and adsorption/desorption test. Hydrolysis test and simulation tests were waived. The results are summarized as below:

FAT 41029/A was investigated for its ready biodegradability in the "Manometric Respirometry Test" according to OECD No. 301F. The biodegradation of test item after 28 days was 0 %. In the procedure controls, the reference compound was readily biodegraded by an average of 87 % after 14 days of exposure in a 10-day window within the 28-day test period. Thus, the test item FAT 41029/A was not readily biodegradable after 28 days of incubation.

The adsorption coefficient Koc of FAT 41'029/A was estimated to be 66865 or higher based on a water solubility of below 0.007 mg/l and the molecular weight of 495.3 g/mol using the regression equations (Lyman, Reehl, Rosenblatt: Handbook of Chemical Property Estimation Methods, 1990) . Additionally, an estimation was performed based on the octanol/water partition coefficient of log Pow = 3.6. It resulted in a Koc value of 2165, which appears more reasonable as this value is based on the measured logPOW. Thus, FAT 41'029/A is immobile in soils.

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH, Annexes VIII the hydrolysis tests do not need to be conducted as the substance is highly insoluble in water. Thus, no additional hydrolysis test is necessary.
