The determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 10 "Flammability (solids)", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.
FAT 41'029/A could not be ignited with a flame during the pretest (contact time of about 2 minutes). In contact with the ignition source, FAT 41'029/A melted without evolving any smoke and a black melt remained. Therefore, no main test was performed. In conclusion, FAT 41'029/A is non flammable.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The substance cannot be ignited by a flame, does not react with air to become flammable and does not releas flammable gases in contact with water as seen in the test on water solubility and all aqueous toxicity tests performed. Thus, the substance is not subject to classification for flammability according to CLP (Regulation EC No 1272/2008) or DSD (Directive 67/548/EEC).
