Additional information

Castor oil, dehydrated presents low solubility in water and its various constituents have estimated log Koc values of 14 and greater. This suggests that, when released to the environment, it is likely to partition to the soil or sediment compartments. Here, it is expected to be broken down by a range of microorganisms and not persist.

Because of its low vapour pressure, the substance will not volatilize to the atmosphere.
