Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
40 mg/L
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The key value for water solubility was chosen regarding the most reliable data: the final Risk Assessment Report for Diphenylamine. This value is confirmed by the results of the guideline study in the DAR 2007 (water solubility: 39.4 mg/l at 25°C). The values found at 20°C are not identical but no conclusion can be made as the testing conditions are not given. What can be said is that the water solubility depends on the temperature, but on the whole diphenylamine is moderately soluble.
