The pKa value of 9.34 (Sparc online calcuation, v4.2, 2008) indicates that aziridine will predominantly exist as a cation in the environment and cations generally adsorb more strongly to soils containing organic carbon and clay than their neutral counterparts.Thus, the log Koc was calculated for the charged molecule using the method according to Franco & Trapp (2008).The result of this calculation showed a log Koc of 3.67 (BASF SE 2009).
