First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures

General advice:

If you feel unwell: Call a Poison Center or doctor/physician. Show this safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance.

In case of eye contact:

Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately
if irritation occurs or pain, blinking, tears or redness persist. Check and remove any contact lenses.

Ingestion:

If swallowed, seek medical attention. Wash out mouth with water. Remove dentures if any. Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position
comfortable for breathing. If material has been swallowed and the exposed person is conscious, give small quantities of water to drink. Stop if the
exposed person feels sick as vomiting may be dangerous. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. If vomiting occurs,
the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If unconscious, place in
recovery position and get medical attention immediately. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.

Skin contact

Wash with plenty of soap with water immediately at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash contaminated clothing
thoroughly with water before removing it. Get medical attention if symptoms occur. If the event of any complains or symptoms, avoid any further
exposure.

Inhalation:

Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical attention if symptoms occur. If not breathing, if breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel. It may be dangerous to the
person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband. In case of inhalation of decomposition products in a fire,
symptoms may be delayed. The exposed person may need to be kept under medical surveillance for 48 hours.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media:
carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, foam and water spray.

Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Avoid water in a jet.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Hazards from the substance:
Slight fire hazard when exposed to heat or flame. Heat from fire can generate flammable vapor. When mixed with air and exposed to ignition
source, vapor can burn in open or explode if confined. The vapor is heavier than air and will accumulate in low area.

Hazardous combustion products:
Decomposition products may include following materials: Carbon dioxide, carbon oxide, nitrogen oxides.

Advice for firefighters

Special precaution for fire-fighters:
Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident if there is fire. No action shall be taken involving any personal
risk or without suitable training.

Special protective equipment for firefighters:
Firefighters should be equipment with protective equipment and self-
contained breathing apparatus to protect against potentially toxic and irritating fumes with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Clothing for fire-fighters (including helmets, protective boots and gloves) conforming to European standart EN 469 will provide a basic level of
protection for chemical incidents.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

For non-emergency personnel:
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Avoid breathing vapor or mist. Provide adequate ventilation. Wear
appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate. Put on appreciate personal protective equipment. Spills may cause very slippery surfaces.
Spread granular cover.

Environmental precautions

Prevent contamination of ground and surface water by isolating the hazard area. Contain and recover liquid when possible. Keep closed containers
and dispose according to all applicable federal, state or local environment regulations. Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers. Inform the relevant authorities if the product has caused environmental pollution (sewers,
waterways, soil or air). Water polluting material. May be harmful to the environment if released in large quantities. Collect spillage.

Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

Stop leak without risk. Move containers from spill area. Approach release from upwind. Prevent entry into sewers, water courses or confined areas.
Wash spillages into an effluent treatment plant. Absorb spills with dry sand, earth or similar absorbent material then collect into drums for later
disposal. Incinerate or bury in a licensed facility according to national environmental regulations.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Protective measures:
No special measures required. Sources of ignition such as smoking and open flames are prohibited where this compound is handled. Avoid
breathing vapor. Keep in the original container, keep tightly closed when not in used.

Advice on general occupational hygiene:
Avoid inhalation or ingestion and contact with skin and eyes. General occupational hygiene measures are required to ensure safe handling of the
substance.
These measures involve good personal and housekeeping practices (i.e. regular cleaning with suitable cleaning devices), no drinking, eating and
smoking at the workplace. Shower and change clothes at end of work shift. Do not wear contaminated clothing at home.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in tightly closed containers, in dry and well ventilated areas, between 20-30oC. Product will absorb water if the product container is not
secured properly. This may affect reactivity, appearance and performance. Therefore, keep drums tightly closed to prevent contamination. Use
dry nitrogen or low dew point air for tank padding. Avoid contact with isocyanates.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure control

Approciate engineering controls:
No special ventilation is recommended under anticipated conditions of normal use beyond that needed for normal comfort control.
Good general ventilation should be sufficient to control worker exposure to airborne contaminants

Individual protection measures:

Hygiene measure:
Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical product, before eating smoking and using lavatory and at the end of working period. Contaminated work clothing should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing.

Eye/face protection:
Tightly-fitting goggles Use eye protection according to EN 166, designed to protect against liquid splashes.

Respiratory protection:
Use a properly fitted, air-purifying or air-fed respirator complying with an approved standard if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary.
Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the
selected respirator.

Hand protection:
Wear suitable gloves tested to EN374. In a case of a short-term direct exposure, nitrile rubber gloves (NBR) 0.85 mm thick, of minimum time of
penetration 30 min should be used. In case of a long-term direct exposure, nitrile rubber gloves (NBR) 1.20 mm thick, of minimum time of
penetration 480 min should be used. It should be noted that the time to breakthrough for any glove material may be different for different glove
manufacturers.

Skin protection:
Wear impervious protective clothing including boots, apron, if needed. Wash hands and other exposed area with soap and water before eating,
drinking, smoking and when leaving work.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity : Stable

Chemical stability : Stable under normal temperature and pressure, but hygroscopic.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Product

Methods of disposal:
The generation of waste should be avoided or minimized whereve r possible. Empty containers or liners may retain some product residues. This material and its container must be disposed of in asafe way. Dispose of surplus and non-recyclable products via a licensed waste disposal
contractor. Disposal of this product, solutions and any by - products should at all times comply with the requirements of environmental
protection and waste disposal legislation and any regional local authority requirements. Avoid dispersal of spill material and runoff and contact
with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.

Packaging
Methods of disposal:

The generation of waste should be avoided or minimized wherever possible. Waste packaging should be recycled. Incineration
or landfill should only be considered when recycling is not feasible. Do not heat or cut container with electric or gas torch.
