Description of key information

A 21-d EC10 value of 82 mg Mg/L was observed for the chronic effect of MgCl2 on reproduction of Daphnia magna in fresh water. 
Using the EPIWIN ECOSAR QSAR model, a30-day NOECcited as a ChV (chronic value)for marine water (SW) aquatic invertebrates of 4288.534 mg/L (ppm)was established.

Additional information

The study reports a 21 days EC10 of 82 mg Mg/L for the effect of MgCl2 on the reproduction of Daphnia magna (or 321 mg of MgCl2 /L). A 21-d EC10 value of 82 mg Mg/L was observed for the chronic effect of MgCl2 on reproduction of Daphnia magna in fresh water.
