Description of key information
3-bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridyl)-5-methyl-1H-pyrazole is at 20°C a odourless, beige solid. The substance is melting at 53.4°C and is boiling at 333.0°C. The main particle size is between 45 and 710 µm. Relative density was determined to 1.748 at 20.1 °C.
The partition coefficient log Pow(octanol/water) is 2.4 with a water solubility of 871 mg/L (pH =4), 856 mg/L (pH =7) and 881 mg/L (pH =9). The pH value of a 1% w/v solution is 6.7 in a neutral range.
3-bromo-1-(3-chloro-2-pyridyl)-5-methyl-1H-pyrazole is well soluble in organic solvents (DMF, DMSO, p-xylene, ethyl acetate, acetone etc.) with a solubility of higher than 250 g/L.
No self-ignition was detected up to 400°C and the substance did not show any explosive properties (friction, shock, thermal). Additionally, no oxidising properties were found which is in accordance with the chemical structure.
