Under the conditions of this study, the test material was considered to be not highly flammable.

In accordance with Section 1 of Annex XI of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH), it is considered justified to omit the Flammability (Contact with Water) and Pyrophoric Properties of Solids and Liquids studies, also required under section 7.10 of Annex VII, on the basis that the testing does not appear to be scientifically necessary.  The chemical structure of the test material contains no groups which would indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties.  In addition, experience of handling the material and the known chemical and physical properties of the substance suggest that it is not pyrophoric and is not flammable in contact with water.

The flammability of the test material was determined in accordance with the standardised guideline EU Method A.10, under GLP conditions. The study was awarded a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).
