Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Batch manufacture of AS100 as a reaction mass of multiple constituents may result in a variable water solubility however, the proportions of the individual consistuents remain within the specified range, we note the lower water solubility of Robac As100 in 1988 compared to the 2010 study and can attribute this to improvements to the manufacture and increased purity of the polysulphide content.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1.3 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the test material was determined using the flask method as described in Annex V, Method A6 of Directive 67/548 EEC. The water solubility of the test material has been determined as 0.752 mg/l at 20°C in 1988

The water solubility of the test material was then re-determined using the flask method as described in OECD 105 ( with minor differences) in 2010. The water solubility of the test substance is 1.3 mg/L at 20 -23 °C
