EC number: 429-330-7
CAS number: -
The melting point is 73-75°C.
The tested substance has a typical
composition, the only impurity in PDTN is moisture. Inorganic impurities
are not possible due to the manufacturing process. In one study the
melting point is 75°C. In the second study, the melting temperature
of PDTN was determined to be 73 - 74°C (346 - 347 K). Probably because
of some impurities the melting process started at a lower temperature of
about 59°C (332 K). At temperatures above about 231°C (504 K) reaction
or decomposition of the test substance was observed.
The measured melting points slightly differ.
This can be explained by difference in purity.
