First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures

Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical attention if symptoms are severe or persist.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Give plenty of water to drink. Get medical attention.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Eye contact: Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

Skin contact: If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/ attention.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, fog or mist.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: None known.

Hazardous combustion products: Thermal decomposition or combustion products may include the following substances: Irritating gases or vapours.

Protective actions during firefighting: Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing.

Personal precautions: Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet.

Environmental precautions: Avoid discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground.

Methods for cleaning up: Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Transfer to a container for disposal.

Precautions for safe handling

Usage precautions: Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Do not empty into drains. confined spaces without adequate ventilation and/or respirator.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Storage precautions: Store in tightly-closed, original container in a well-ventilated place. Avoid the following conditions: Strong oxidising agents. Water, moisture. Storage life is 2 years if stored in accordance with advice given above.
