Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

After 28 days under a closed bottle test OECD 310, the test item showed 12.97% of biodegradation based on TOC analysis. Thus the test substance is not believed to be readily biodegradable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Two studies are available for the ready biodegradation of the test substance, Sechaud (1990) and de Nadai (2009). The last study performed under closed conditions according to OECD 310 test guidelines confirmed that the test substance was not readily biodegradable drawing only 12.97% of biodegradation based on total organic carbon after 28 days of experimental phase. The study of Sechaud (1990) gave consistent results showing that MGN is not considered as readily biodegradable after 34 days.
