As no experimental study was available, the partition coefficient of MGN was estimated using QSAR calculations. Three models, using different methodologies, were used, one was considered as valid, the two others not assignable. An additional litterature value, obtained by a further other model, was added. A total of 11 results was obtained, within the range -0.644 to 2.21, which is significantly below the threshold of 4, with regard to classification criteria (long-term aquatic toxicity). The arithmetical mean value of these 11 results is 0.52, with a standard error of +/-0.70. Discarding the two absurd extreme values, the range becomes much more consistent (0.03 -1.06), with a mean value of 0.46, and a standard error of 0.29. This corrected mean result will be retained. It should also be noticed that this value is consistent with the result of the valid QSAR (0.28 +/-0.48).
