Additional information

No carcinogenicity studies are available for carbamic acid, (2-hydroxypropyl)-, compound with 1-amino-2-propanol (1:1) or the immediate cleavage product 1-amino-2-propanol (justifcation for read-across see IUCLID chapter 13). However, both substances did not show any mutagenic effects in several mutagenicity tests and the cleavage product 1-amino-2-propanol was shown to be of low toxicity in repeated dose toxicity studies and no hyperplasia or pre-neoplastic lesions were observed in any available study.. Therefore, a carcinogenic potential of carbamic acid, (2-hydroxypropyl)-, compound with 1-amino-2-propanol (1:1) can be considered unlikely.

Justification for selection of carcinogenicity via oral route endpoint:
No carcinogenicity study is required since the substance is not a mutagen and no hyperplasia or pre-neoplastic lesions were observed in the available study.
