Additional information

A study was conducted to determine the adsorption coefficient of the test substance according to the "HPLC method" described in EU Method C.19 and OECD Guideline 121, in compliance with GLP. The dead time was determined by injecting a dead time marker substance Sodium nitrate. A calibration curve was drawn from the retention times of standard substances. The adsorption coefficient of the test substance was derived by comparing its retention time with the calibration curve. Retention times of reference substances used for calibration were sodium nitrate (1.58 min), Atrazine (3.59 min), linuron (4.35 min), naphthalene (4.83 mins), pyrazophos (5.26 min), α-endosulfan (6.71 min), 4,4’-DDT (9.43 min), while the equation fitted was log k = 0.152 × log Koc - 0.145 (Rsq = 0.975). As the test substance consists of several compounds, several peaks were recorded (retention times: peak 1: 8.03 min, peak 2: 8.34 min, peak 3: 10.93 min, peak 4: 11.93 min), hence the adsorption coefficient can be given as a range. The estimated log Koc range from 4.99±0.01 to >5.63 (with 95% confidence interval). Under the conditions of the study, the adsorption coefficient (log Koc) of the test substance was determined to be 4.99±0.01 to >5.63 (Sárvári Z, 2015b).
