Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The ready biodegradability of 2-ethylhexyl oleate (CAS 26399 -02 -0) was tested in a CO2 -evolution test according to OECD 301B and to GLP (King 1994). The biodegradation of 10.3 mg/L organic carbon of the test substance was monitored for 28 days. After 28 days, 86.8% of the initial test substance was degraded. This is in consistence with all further members of the category for which ready biodegradability was observed. Based on these findings, the substance 2-ethylhexyl oleate is considered to be readily biodegradable.
