The determination of the surface tension of the test item was based on OECD Guideline No. 115: “Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions” (1995) and on the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A5 “Surface Tension”, EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992. This was achieved by using a tensiometer (Wilhelmy plate method). The test item was measured with a 0.25 % (w/w) solution. In conclusion, the surface tension of FAT 46014/I was determined to be 73.325 mN/m at room temperature of 20 °C. The variation of specification factor was 0.009788 mN/m.

Description of key information
