Additional information

This endpoint has been addressed by providing one key study and five supporting studies.

Hawley (1977) is the key literature used to address this end point. It is cited in the literature that the test material is a colourless to light yellow organic liquid with a strong odour. The information originates from a peer reviewed handbook citing physical data as found in the literature, which was assigned a reliability score of 2 using the principles for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1977).

The five supporting studies consist of four company safety data sheets and an internet reference; TCI Europe MSDS (2010), Alfa Aesar MSDS (2007), Chemical Book MSDS (2012), Sigma Aldrich MSDS (2010), and Chemical Product Property Data (2012). They have all been assigned a reliability score of 4 according to Klimisch (1977) as it is not possible to assess the accuracy of the data from the information they provide. However there is sufficient consistency between these sources to act as supporting data.
