Description of key information

Boiling point [furan]: 32°C (Handbook)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
32 °C

Additional information

Two reliable boiling point data are available for the substance. Boiling point values of 31.5°C (Haynes 2010) and 32°C (Stecher 1968) at 758 mmHg were reported for the substance in handbooks or collection of reliable of data which has been subject to peer review and in whcih the original sources are traceable. The data are used as weight of evidence. In secondary sources to which no reliability could be assigned, boiling point of 30.7°C (Kobe 1956), 31.3°C (Pennakem 2011), and 32°C (Pohanish 2008) were reported for the substance.
