Results and discussion

Preliminary study:
Preliminary test results based on mean measured concentrations as mg/l of UL111:
Mean % hydrolysis after 5 days at 50 deg C > 98 % at pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9

Hydrolysis was 38.4% at pH 4 and 24.8% at pH7 after 2.5 h
At pH 9 hydrolysis was > 50% after 2.4 h ( no further testing required at this pH)

Conclusions:
The rate of hydrolysis (t1/2) of UL111 at 25 deg C has been estimated to be 26 hours at pH4, 139 hours at pH 7 and less than 24 hours at pH 9
