The explosivity of the test item DV6850 was determined in a valid GLP study according to EU method A.14.
Thermal sensitivity (effect of a flame) and mechanical sensitivity (shock and friction) were tested. It is concluded that DV6850 does not possess explosive properties.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Thermal sensitivity (effect of a flame) and mechanical sensitivity (shock and friction) were tested. No explosion was observed when the test substance in tubes was exposed to a flame and there was no deformation to the tubes. No visible or audible reaction was recorded when testing the mechanical sensitivity to shock and friction. It is concluded that DV6850 does not possess explosive properties. A classification for explosive properties hence is not required.
