First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
· General information: Immediately remove any clothing soiled by the product.
· After inhalation: First aid measures not needed. Just move to fresh air.
· After skin contact: First aid measures not required, but wash exposed skin with soap and water for hygienic reasons.
· After eye contact: Rinse cautiously with tempered water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, get medical advice/attention.
· After swallowing: Rinse mouth then drink plenty of water. If a large quantity has been ingested or you feel unwell, get medical advice/attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
All types of extinguishing media are suitable. Use fire extinguishing methods suitable to surrounding conditions.
· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Water with full jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Advice for firefighters
· Protective equipment: No special measures required.
· Additional information Cool endangered receptacles with water spray.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear tightly sealed goggles. Wear gloves, protective clothing and rubber boots for hygienic reasons.
Environmental precautions: Prevent from spreading (e.g. by damming-in or oil barriers). Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Small spill: Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders). Pick up mechanically.
Large spill: Pump up the product into a spare container suitably labelled. Clean the affected area carefully; suitable cleaners are:
warm water and cleansing agent.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Design work place, in such a way that splashes from the product is prevented. Wear tightly sealed goggles and protective gloves. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Information about fire - and explosion protection: No special measures required.
Storage
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in a cool location.
