Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The test was conducted on Daphnia magna in accordance with OECD Guideline 202 and EU Method C2, the study was conducted to GLP standards. The 50% Effect Loading (EL50) is the loading level of the test substance which would cause 50% immobilization in a population of test organisms over a specified exposure period. The 48 hour EL50 was 0.09 mg/L with a 95% confidence interval of 0.07 to 0.14 mg/L and was based on exposure to the loading levels of the test substance.

The final result is questionable as it is in contraddiction with the result from the long-term study performed on the same microorganism. The reliability of the long term study is considered higher as it is more recent and the report contains more details. However, for precautionary principle, the PNEC of the substance was calculated from the value obtained from this short term study which is the lowest in the environment sector.
