Additional information

The ready biodegradability of beta-alanine was determined in a test conducted according to OECD Guideline 301 C (Modified MITI-Test). The determination by the BOD, TOC and HPLC methods showed 87%, 95% and 100% degradation of beta-alanine, respectively. Therefore beta-alanine is considered readily biodegradable under the test condition (MITI (Japan), 1993).
