Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study on the short-term toxicity of 2-Butenedioic acid (2Z)-, reaction products with ammonium di-µ3-hydroxyhexacosa-µ-oxododecaoxo¬dodecatungstate(6-) (6:1), ammonium octa-µ-oxodi-µ3-oxo-µ4-oxododecaoxoheptamolybdate(6-) (6:1), nickel(2+) nitrate (1:2) and nickel(2+) sulfate (1:1) to aquatic invertebrates is available. This key study was performed according to OECD Guideline 202, in a static system, using Daphnia magna as test organism (Muckle, 2013). As the solubility of the test substance lies below 100 mg/L, the test solution was prepared by weighing the nominal load, adding the corresponding amount of dilution water and shaking vigorously for 24 hours. The resulting solution was filtrated through 0.45 µm filters, the lower treatments were prepared by dilution of this solution. The daphnids were exposed to 5 test concentrations for 48 hours. Analytical measurements were performed by determoination of Tungsten, Molybdenum and Nickel concentrations at the start and the end of the test period. Based on immobilization, an EL50(48 h) of 36 mg/L (nominal, WAF) was derived.
