Conclusion on classification

According to Annex VI of Directive 67/548/EEC, 1,2 -dichloropropane is classified as R52/53 "harmful to aquatic organisms" and "may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment" since the acute toxicity to daphnids, fish, algae are between 1 and 10 mg/L and 1,2 -dichloropropane does not meet criteria for ready biodegradability.
