Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
> 500 °C
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
222 °C

On completion of the screening test, aluminium crucible has been opened and sample appearance observed as grey powder. Endothermic event was observed with onset temperature of 222.2°C, however no signs of formed droplets found in crucible after thetest. Sample did not melt up to 500°C. Test terminated. Therefore, boiling point is exempt.

Conclusions:
The melting temperature was investigated according to EU Method A.1. and OECD 102. A sample was charged to a Tzero aluminium DSC crucible which was then sealed and placed in the furnace.
