The method was estimated to be accurate to 2 decimal places, as the mean determined density of displacement liquid was in close agreement with the manufacturer's specified value (0.80).

Conclusions:
Under study conditions, the relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.82 at 20ºC.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the relative density of the test substance, C12 -14 ADEBAC, using a pycnometer method, according to OECD Guideline 109, EU Method A.3 and procedure described in ISO 1183, method B, in compliance with GLP. Two tests were performed concurrently using separate pyknometers at 20ºC. Under study conditions, the relative density of the test substance was determined to be 0.82 at 20ºC (Sydney 2002).

Description of key information

Relative density of the test substance was determined using a pycnometer method, according to OECD Guideline 109 and procedure described in ISO 1183, Method B (Sydney, 2002).
