Conclusion on classification

Aquatic short-term (acute) toxicity

48-h EC50 (Daphnia): > 120 mg/L (nominal)

96-h EC50 (Algae): > 94.4 mg/L (initial measured conc.)

Aquatic long-term (chronic) toxicity

96-h NOEC (Algae): >= 94.4 mg/L (initial measured conc.)

The substance is inherently biodegradable.

Classification according to CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

The available data are reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. The test substance was found to be not readily biodegradable, but inherently biodegradable. In both OECD 202 and 201 studies the test item showed no toxic effects on the tested organisms. Based on these results, the substance is not classified for short-term (acute) and long-term (chronic) aquatic toxicity, according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), as amended for the tenth time in Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/776.
