First-aid measures

General advice: If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible). First aider needs to protect himself. Move out of dangerous area. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Inhalation: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician. Keep patient warm and at rest. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.Skin contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with soap and plenty of water. Do NOT use solvents or thinners. If skin irritation persists, call a physician. Wash off with polyethylene glycol and afterwards with plenty of water. Eye contact: Protect unharmed eye. If easy to do, remove contact lens, if worn. In the case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label. If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. If a person vomits when lying on his back, place him in the recovery position. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: No symptoms and effects known.Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: No specific treatment.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Suitable - Dry sand, dry chemical, foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2). Unsuitable - Do not use a solid water stream as it may scatter and spread fire.Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Hazardous decomposition products may be formed under fire conditions. Exposure to decomposition products may be hazardous to health.Adive for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, weat self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment. Standard procedures for chemical fires. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. In the event of explosion do not breathe fumes. Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accoradance with local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: See Handling and storage, and Exposure controls/personal protection information below. Use personal protective equipment. Remove all sources of ignition. Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains, inform respective authorities. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Use mechanical handling equipment. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly. Non-sparking tools should be used.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Advice on safe handling - See Exposure controls/personal protection. Avoid creating dust. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Advice on protection against fire and explosion - Normal measures for preventive fire protection. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Do not smoke. No sparking tools should be used. Electrical equipment should be protected to the appropriate standard.Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Storage areas/containers - Store in original container. Keep container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat. Keep away from direct sunlight. Protect from moisture. Advice on common storage - Keep away from food, drink and animal feed stuffs. Other data: No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.Specific end use: Oil phase modifier.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters: National limit values: No exposure limit values known. National occupational exposure limit values: Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.Relevant DNELs and PNECs: No DNELs and PNECs available. Exposure controls: Appropriate engineering controls: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment - Eye/face protection: Safety glasses with side-shields.Skin/body protection: Flame retardant antistatic protective clothing. Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.Respiratory protection: In the case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an approved filter. Half mask with a particular filter P2 (EN143).Thermal hazards: Unknown.Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves. Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. For special applications, we recommend clarifying the resistance to chemicals of the aforementioned protective gloves with the glove manufacturer.Hygeine measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. General industrial hygiene practice. Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of the workday. Follow the skin protection plan. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: No data available.
Chemical stability: No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Dust can form an explosive mixture in air.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks.Incompatible materials: No data available.
Hazardous decomposition products: In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as carbon dioxide.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: In accordance with local and national regulations. Do not dispose of waste into sewer. Do no dispose of together with household waste. Waste codes should be assigned by the user based on the application for which the product was used.
