Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The 24h-EC50 was above the solubility limit of MDI/CHA in test medium at a nominal loading rate of 1000 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was examined in a study according to OECD 202 (1984) and in compliance with GLP criteria. Groups of daphnids (2 replicates of 10) were exposed to test item concentrations of 0 (control), 1000 mg/L filtered (i.e. saturated solution) and 1000 mg/L unfiltered (i.e. supersaturated solution) for 24 hours under static conditions. No test substance analysis was performed. Mobility of the test animals was recorded after 24 hours exposure. After the exposure period no immobility of daphnids was observed in any of the test vessels. Based on these findings, the 24-h EC50 in Daphnia magna is higher than the limit of solubility in test medium at a nominal loading rate of 1000 mg/L.
