Description of key information

In accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex XI testing does not appear scientifically necessary. The flammability of liquids is determined on basis of their flash point (in combination with their boiling point), their ability to emit flammable gases upon contact with water and their pyrophoricity. The molecular structure of Cashmeran does not contain groups that indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties. The flash point of 117 °C indicates that Cashmeran is not a flammable liquid.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the flashpoint of 117 °C classification according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and the Dangerous Substances Directive 67/548/EEC is not necessary.
