Additional information

No studies investigating the transport and distribution behaviour of glycine are available. Using KOCWIN program (v2.00), log Koc values of 0 (log Kow method) and -1.64 (molecular connectivity index (MCI) method) were calculated (Blum, 2012). These values indicate a low potential of the substance to adsorb to soil and sediment particles. Calculations with HENRYWIN Program (v3.20) yielded values of 0.000000001 Pa*m3/mol (0.00000000000001 atm*m3/mol) for the Henry's Law constant, based on the bond estimation method. This value indicates that evaporation of the substance from the water surface into the atmosphere is not to be expected.
