Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a oxygen consumption inhibition test, th EC10 of the test item was determined to be greater than 10000 mg/L (GLP, DIN 38412, Teil 27, 1992)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
10 000 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of the test item to aquatic microorganisms was tested in the oxygen consumption inhibition test according to DIN 38412, Teil 27. A bacterial suspension of Pseudomonas putida was exposed to a nominal concentration range of 30 to 10000 mg/L of the test item. The test item was directly weighed into the test vessel. The oxygen consumption inhibition was measured in relation to three blank samples. The maximum inhibition value of the test sample was less than 10 % in relation to the blank samples. The EC0 was determined to 10000 mg/L. The EC10 was estimated to be > 10000 mg/L (Henkel, 1996).
