Description of key information

The 96 h acute LC 50 to fish was determined to be greater than 100 mg/L (GLP, EU method C.1)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity to fish of the test item was investigated in a test according to Directive 92/69/EEC. 10 test fish of the species Brachydanio rerio were exposed to the test item in a 96 h semi-static test with daily change of the test solution. The water accomodated fractions (WAF) of following nominal tested concentrations were applied: 0, 4.27, 9.39, 20.7, 45.5 and 100 mg test substance/L. The test substance was analytical monitored by gas chromatography after extraction and derivation. The following results were estimated (nominal concentrations):

LC0: 46 mg test substance/L

LC50: > 100 mg test substance/L

LC100: > 100 mg test substance/L
