Additional information

Ebanol is a small organic molecule with a molecular weight of 208. It is a liquid and has a water solubility of 3.41 x 10-2 g/l at 20°C and a log Pow of 4.2. The physico-chemical properties of Ebanol suggest it is likely to be absorbed via dermal, inhalation and gastric routes following exposure.

Acute and subchronic toxicity data indicate that Ebanol is absorbed following administration by gavage and metabolised by the liver. No specific studies on the absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination (ADME) of Ebanol are available. However the very low toxicity of Ebanol suggests that it may be considered inappropriate at this time to conduct further animal work to support ADME.
