The n-octanol/water partition coefficient was determined. As in the preliminary test, a good solubility in water and a very poor solubility in n-octanol were found, a main test according to OECD Guidelines 107/117 (HPLC or flask shaking method) could not be applied. Therefore the partition coefficient of the substance was estimated using the solubility data in n-octanol from the pre-test and the water solubility from the main test.
The solubility in n-octanol was determined to be 0.20343 g/L.
The solubility in water was determined to be 188.8 g/L.
Using these two values, the partition coefficient (log Pow) of the substance was calculated to be -2.97.
