Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The effect of HMX on the respiration rate of activated sludge was assessed by the methods detailed in and OECD Test Guideline 209 and in compliance with GLP (HLS 2012, REI0019). There was no biologically significant reduction of the mean respiration rates of activated sludge exposed to HMX at nominal concentrations of 10, 100 and 1000 mg/L.

The three-hour NOEC for HMX was 1000mg/l.

The EC50 could not be calculated as this was greater than 1000 mg/L, the highest concentration tested.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
1 000 mg/L
