Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the major constituent is estimated < 23 µg/L at 25°C. The second one is fully miscible.

The registered substance is considered to have very low water solubility (< 0.1 mg/L), based on the less soluble constituent and visual testing.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A preliminary experimental testing, based on visual assessment, was conducted. A very low solubility was observed (< 0.1 mg/L), therefore further determination, including CMC, was technically not feasible. Therefore, a constituent-based approach was prefered.

The solubility of the registered multi-constituent substance as a whole will be limited by the less soluble constituent:

For the major constituent, no published data or no valid QSAR model was available. A prediction was nevertheless calculated with two EpiSuite models, and found very low (0.003-23 µg/L at 25°C). The magnitude of order was supported by prediction on an analogue, considered to fall within the applicability domain, and having an estimated water solubility of ca 0.5 µg/L. The higher value (i.e. 23 µg/L for the parent) is retained here as a worst-case.

For the second constituent, reliable literature data was identified, and describes the substance as fully miscible.

No single key value was derived for the multi-constituent substance, result expressed as a limit was prefered, having more scientific sense and sufficient for purpose.
