Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
other: substance does ignite but does not propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the test period.

Any other information on results incl. tables

In contact with the flame, the test substance melted, burned with a yellow blue flame and turned into a light brown residue. After removal of the ignition source, the flame extinguished immediately.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not classified based on GHS/CLP criteria
Conclusions:
The substance Carbaethoxyphthalimid was determined to be not highly flammable.
Executive summary:

The flammability of the solid substance was determined a GLP study according to EC A.10 and UN Test N.1. In the preliminary screening test, The substance does ignite but does not propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the test period. The substance Carbaethoxyphthalimid was determined to be not highly flammable / not readily combustible.
