There are two reliable measured melting/freezing point studies available for the substance. In the first study (Haas 2009), a melting point value of <-50°C was determined for the substance using a Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) method in accordance with OECD Guideline 102. There was no clear and definite melting temperature between –150°C and +25°C but only a phase transition which was similar to a glass transition at –140.5°C was observed. The melting/freezing temperature was therefore concluded to be <–50°C. Similarly, in the second study (Haas 2015), no melting/freezing temperature above -100°C was determined using a DSC method in accordance with a relevant test method and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). Both results are in agreement to indicate that the melting/freezing temperature of the substance is <-20°C. The results are therefore considered to be reliable and are used as weight of evidence.
